The Haunted

I recently read a book, Build Your House Around My Body, that made me think about the concept of being haunted in a different way. The things that others say or do can haunt you forever, but so can your own actions or words.

I think sometimes being haunted is just a reflection of your own fear or guilt.

These photos are all reflections, taken in an abandoned greenhouse on an unexpectedly rainy day last year. We were there to take photos of vintage clothes, and somehow ended up with these ghostly images instead. For me, the magic in these is the presence of both the real and the surreal, and the unexpected ways in which they blend together.

I don’t think that ghosts are real, but I do think that our own personal spectres exist within us.

Do you believe in ghosts? Or are you a skeptic like me?
